Launch of our new website
30 March 2021
Since our last Library Survey we’ve been working hard to bring you a new and improved website. You’ll see we’ve updated the overall look of the site and have a brand new logo, but our main aim has been to improve our current awareness service. You’ll be able to customise our new Knowledge Alerts so that you receive the information you want, when and where you want it. We also wanted to make it easier to access the resources that you use most frequently as well as improve how the site works and looks on your mobile devices.
Virtually here for you!

24 March 2020
From Wednesday 25th March all Library and Knowledge Service Staff will be working from home until further notice. The library will still be accessible to anyone with 24 hour access and you will still be able to borrow and return books via our self-service machine. If you use a PC please remember to keep your distance and wash your hands after use. Library Staff will still be available via email and our current awareness service (Knowledge Pages), literature search service and document supply (journal requests) will all be carried out as normal. All of our online resources will still be accessible via NHS OpenAthens. We have put together a short guide on the resources that you can access and how to access them. We hope you will find it useful but please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or problems. We may not be in the Library itself, but we are still available to help.
We're still open!
20 March 2020
The Library Team are still working in the Library and ready to help you with your requests. However did you know that the library is open 24/7? Did you also know that you can access the library resources from any computer - including your home computer? If you want to access the physical library outside of our normal opening hours then you need to be a member. Once you have joined you can request 24 hour access which will usually be granted within 24 hours. There is a self service machine located at the side of the enquiry desk where you can issue, renew or return books. You will need your library PIN and Username, which will have been emailed to you when your joined. If you can't remember them, please contact us and we will send you an email reminder. We've put together a short guide on the resources that you can access and how to access them. We hope that you will find it useful in these difficult and extraordinary times.
