New library catalogue is now LIVE

We are excited to announce that our new library catalogue is now live! You can access the catalogue from any PC/mobile device at https://now.koha-ptfs.co.uk/.

Current members of the library will receive an email in the next few days which will explain how to set up a new password and login to your account, as well as how to obtain a barcode which you will need to request books and use the self service machine.

If you are not already a member of the library you can register here https://now.koha-ptfs.co.uk/cgi-bin/koha/opac-memberentry.pl As explained in our previous blog https://www.knowledge-nw.nhs.uk/news/14September2023, we have joined a consortium of 19 NHS Trusts across the North West (NoW) which will bring many benefits to you:

• You will now be able to see the stock of all 19 libraries - giving you access to over 70,000 books.
• You can now borrow more books, up to 12 items for 4 weeks.
• Books will be automatically renewed 5 times, as long as they haven't been reserved by another library member, you don't have any overdue or lost items and your account is still active.
• You can reserve more books - up to 12 items from any of the 19 NoW libraries and they will be sent to your "home" library.
• You can choose how to receive notifications, either by email and text or email only. You will be informed as soon as your reserved books are available to collect, or when you need to return an item.
• You will be able to login to your account, update your details, view and renew your loans and request items.
• If you move to another trust in the consortium you won't need to re-register, just login to your account, update your details and let your new library know.
