Abstract
Immediate breast reconstruction following mastectomy has become increasingly common. Skin-sparing mastectomies (SSM) and risk reducing mastectomies are becoming more commonly performed.1–3 Where radiotherapy is not anticipated, implant-based reconstruction may be performed. One problem associated with implant-based reconstructions has long been lower pole coverage and support. A number of techniques have been described to address these problems such as dermal slings and acellular dermal matrices.
