Library Service Announcement
Published Date: 06th January 2021
From Wednesday 6th January 2021 the Library and Knowledge Service will close and library staff will be working from home until further notice.
The library will still be accessible to anyone with 24 hour access but please remember to keep your distance from other library users and to wear a mask at all times. If you use a PC please remember to clean the keyboard and mouse before use .
Email the library at: library@sthk.nhs.uk to request 24 hour access if you do not currently have it.
You will be able to borrow and return books using the self-issue machine next to the counter. Please contact us if you need a reminder of your Reader ID and PIN.
Library Staff will still be available via email and our
- current awareness service (Knowledge Pages),
- training,
- literature search service and
- document supply (journal requests)
will all be carried out as normal.
All of our online resources will still be accessible via NHS OpenAthens. If you don’t have an NHS OpenAthens Account you can register for one here: https://openathens.nice.org.uk/
We have put together a short guide, www.knowledge-nw.nhs.uk/media/news/2021%20Documents/VirtualLibraryGuide.pdf on the resources that you can access and how to access them. We hope you will find it useful but please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or problems.
We may not be in the Library itself, but we are still available to help.
